We offer a full range of construction services, including General Contracting, Design-Build, Construction Management, Subcontracting, Pre-Engineered Metal Building (PEMB) installation, Value Engineering, and Preconstruction Serivces. GENERAL CONTRACTOR

As a General Contractor, we oversee the full execution of construction projects—from site mobilization through final closeout. We manage day-to-day operations on the jobsite, coordinate subcontractors, maintain safety protocols, and ensure all work is performed to design specifications and code standards. This role demands precision, organization, and the ability to adapt to field conditions while maintaining momentum and quality control.
 

Our team takes a proactive approach to managing schedules, resolving conflicts, and communicating clearly with owners, design teams, and vendors. We leverage long-standing relationships with trade partners and suppliers to keep projects on track, even in challenging environments. Whether it’s new construction, an expansion, or phased renovation, our experience allows us to navigate complexity while protecting the project’s timeline and budget.
 

We also integrate sustainable construction practices whenever feasible, including waste reduction strategies, energy-efficient materials, and site-specific green solutions. Our team includes LEED™ Accredited Professionals and has experience delivering NYSERDA-certified projects. As a result, we’re able to support clients with both responsible building practices and high-performance outcomes.

DESIGN-BUILD

Our Design-Build service unifies design and construction under a single contract, allowing for tighter coordination, clearer communication, and more efficient delivery. By engaging early in the planning process, we’re able to help owners make informed decisions about layout, systems, finishes, and materials—all while balancing cost, constructability, and schedule. This delivery method removes the disconnect that can happen between designers and builders, resulting in fewer change orders and faster project delivery.
 

We work with a trusted network of architects, engineers, and consultants, assembling teams based on the unique requirements of each project. That collaboration continues throughout the life of the job, giving the owner a single point of contact and keeping the project team aligned. We lead regular coordination meetings, provide cost feedback during design development, and ensure that construction follows the intended design with minimal friction.
 

Design-Build is especially effective for projects that benefit from speed, budget certainty, or a high degree of customization. Our team guides each step with a hands-on approach, allowing for quicker approvals, smarter decisions, and reduced risk across the board. It's an approach that brings efficiency without sacrificing quality or vision.

CONSTRUCTION MANAGER

As a Construction Manager, we serve as the owner’s advocate and advisor, overseeing all phases of the project from planning through closeout. Unlike a general contractor, our focus is on managing—not executing—the work, allowing us to provide independent oversight of contractors, schedules, and budgets. We bring structure to the process by organizing teams, monitoring procurement, and resolving issues before they become costly problems.
 

Our role begins in pre-construction, where we assist with budgeting, design coordination, and bid package development. Once construction is underway, we manage timelines, review submittals, lead progress meetings, and ensure all field activity aligns with the project’s goals. This level of engagement provides transparency and helps owners stay in control of the project without needing to manage day-to-day site activity themselves.
 

Construction Management is ideal for complex projects with multiple phases or stakeholder groups. It allows owners to retain flexibility while benefiting from professional oversight. At Plank, we bring the experience and systems necessary to guide projects to completion with confidence—on time, within budget, and with the highest level of accountability.

SUBCONTRACTOR

In addition to managing full projects, Plank also performs specialty trade work as a subcontractor. We self-perform key scopes with in-house crews, ensuring tighter quality control and scheduling.

Our core divisions include:

  • Earthwork: Site clearing, grading, excavation, and backfill

  • Concrete: Foundations, slabs, retaining walls, and flatwork

  • Carpentry: Framing, blocking, sheathing, and finish carpentry

  • Steel Erectors: Structural steel and PEMB erection, decking, and bracing
     

This internal capability strengthens our project delivery and adds value when we’re hired directly for specific scopes of work.

PRE-ENGINEERED METAL BUILDINGS

Plank is an authorized builder for American Building Systems and Ceco Building Systemss, two of the most respected names in the PEMB industry. We provide complete shell packages, from foundations to steel erection, offering a turnkey solution for warehouses, fire stations, manufacturing plants, and other commercial and industrial facilities. Our in-house steel erection crews are trained specifically for PEMB systems, ensuring both safety and accuracy during installation.
 

What sets us apart is our ability to self-perform critical scopes, coordinate directly with the building manufacturer, and deliver fast-track schedules without compromising quality. Whether part of a larger project or a standalone shell, we manage the process from submittals through final bolt-tightening, providing clients with a reliable and efficient structural solution built to spec.

VALUE ENGINEERING

At Plank, value engineering is integrated into every project from the start. Our team collaborates with owners, architects, and engineers to identify cost-saving alternatives, improve constructability, and optimize long-term performance—all without compromising design intent or quality. By evaluating plans, materials, and systems early, we’re able to recommend practical solutions that reduce costs and risks while maintaining the integrity of the project.
